Here’s the recipe:

“You’ve GOT to try this banana bread recipe! It uses honey and applesauce instead of sugar and oil. Make sure to SHARE so it’s saved to your personal page.

Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
3/4 cup honey
2 eggs, beaten
3 mashed overripe bananas

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together applesauce and honey. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.”

This is how it came out of the oven:

It stayed in the oven for the recommended time – there were no adjustments necessary. So far, so good.

The Family Report:

Me: You need to eat this bread. It is really amazing.

Son: It tastes weird. (but he ate it all…)

Daughter: Really good!

This recipe has received four stars in this house. It takes less than twenty minutes to mix together. It loses a star because it’s a little tough around the crust, but I may have overcooked it slightly.
