Making Grilled Cheese Simple

15 Apr

This is not one of my new recipes. It’s a tip on how to make grilled cheese easier. I remember watching my mom make it – she’d throw down the buttered bread, unwrap the cheese quickly (one slice), then throw the other piece on top. It all seemed very inefficient and rushed. Cooking takes time – after you learn to slow down, food will be so much better. So, I came up with a better way to make that grilled cheese sandwich, and boy is it tasty!

Butter the bread for every sandwich you plan to make. Place the bread butter side up on a tray. You can stack the bread if you place the pieces butter sides facing each other.

Start opening the cheese. Lay the first piece of plastic from the cheese on the tray. Place two pieces of cheese on the plastic, then lay another cheese wrapper on top of the two pieces. Keep doing this until you have two pieces of cheese for each sandwich.

Turn the stove on to medium heat. Allow your frying pan to heat. Place the bread, butter side down, on the pan. Add the two slices of cheese. Try to spread them out to cover the bread.

Let this cook for a few minutes then flip. When both sides are golden brown, take it out. This is soooo super yummy!!!
