Wooden Game Centers

1 Jul

Wooden game centers, such as this one:

are AMAZING!!! I paid $15.00 for this board at Target (and it looks like I may have overpaid). It has twelve games – checkers, chinese checkers, tic tac toe, mancala, solitaire, backgammon, pass out, pachisi, chess, snakes and ladders, pick up sticks, and Texas Hold Em. My eight year old, who doesn’t like overly complicated games, and my nine year old, who just learned to play chess, have not stopped playing with this since I bought it two days ago. The boards are sturdy and the pictures are vibrant.

As long as we take care of the boards, this will last us a very long time. I wish I had found it when the kids were younger because it would have taken us through almost every stage of game play. It’s a smart investment. I highly suggest everyone buys this type of wooden game center.
