My Adventures in Vertical Gardening Part Two

3 Jun

The vertical garden is going well! The pipe cleaners have held the containers through strong winds and a few severe thunderstorms. The beans in the containers are growing up the fence naturally. The fence is advantageous because I don’t need to use poles to support my plants. I mistakenly planted tomatoes toward the top of the fence, which may cause the loss of the plants as they grow. Here is a picture of the finished garden:

You can see the beans toward the bottom; I have pulled the plants up and over since this picture was snapped to help them grab the fence. I also added carrots to the garden. I will update the blog in early fall to review the carrot progress, as they can be sensitive and may not grow well in this type of environment.

So far, the vertical garden is going well.  I will take pictures of the harvest, and I will post any issues I encounter.

I know. I can’t figure out how to do it without buying the domain. I will research it soon, but right now I barely have time to write… The organization has always been a thorn in my side.
